lyrics

Susan’s Carnival

There lived a grand old woman
who thought the world was made to have fun in
she said it was quite like a carnival
It didn’t make sense

All you see is what you believe
She said,
Why come out here to play
Come here to play

The neighborhood was full of stories
and mystic happenings
She often thought if she closed her eyes
it would go away

All you want is beneath your feet
all you need is a life to live so happily

And when she died?
Some people cried
some of them didn’t know her
and now she laughs
wearing a hat
and sings some childhood song

Susan’s carnival of love
Susan’s carnival of love

Would you take me there
